Blame it on Mercury being in retrograde
Chalk it up to my *wonderful* luck (heavy sarcasm) of late
or maybe it's just bad karma from a previous (or current) life.

But there is NO HOT WATER in my apartment.
Sunday was day one
Monday was day two
Today will be day three.

(apparently in the year 2005 some things are still stuck in the industrial age...my building did not get the scheduled oil delivery and my landlady didn't notice until we told her about it...she didn't check her messages until LATE last night)

Besides dishes piled high in the sink, this is impacting my otherwise impeccable grooming habits.

I took a cold shower on Sunday afternoon (hey you! no wise cracks about how I probably needed it!)
Monday I skipped the shower and just scrubbed my face and did the pony tail thing with my hair
BUT - there is NO way getting around it. I n.e.e.d. to bathe today.

6:35 a.m.
I am procrastinating.
You see folks...this isn't a cool refreshing shower I would be having. This would be a bloody freezing fucking cold shower. The kind of shower that usually is depicted in movies that have jail scenes.... (o.k...maybe I'm exaggerating, but would you get out of a warm cozy bed and want to get into icicle heaven?)

Wish me luck. If you hear a scream, or a high pitched whimper (wherever you are), it'll be me.

Dammit. I knew I should have shaved my head.
